Our homes are designed to foster independence, safety, and a sense of belonging, providing the support needed for individuals to thrive. Services are rendered in all four regions of Maryland
Service Features
- Customized Homes: Safe neighbourhoods, comfortable, modern and fully-equipped living spaces designed to meet individual preferences, with a maximum of three individuals per apartment.
- Daily Living Support: Assistance with personal care, household tasks, and developing essential life skills.
- Inclusive Environment: Opportunities to build social connections through group activities and local events.
- Health-Focused Spaces: Designed to foster physical, emotional, spirituality and mental well-being for all residents.
Staff Training Requirements
Jazai Healthcare Services ensures staffing levels and training meet the highest standards required for the community group home residential model. All staff members working as residential care providers are expected to:
- Be at least 18 years old and possess a GED or high school diploma.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Hold current certifications and training required by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), including:
- First Aid and CPR
- Certified Medication Technician (CMT) by the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (where necessary)
- MANDT Certification
- DDA-specific trainings, refreshers, and updates
- Complete all pre-service and in-service training as outlined in the Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
- Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, as required.
Ongoing Training
Staff training is continuous, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and compliance with regulations. Documentation of completed training is maintained in employee records to uphold transparency and accountability.
